Maintained by the Watauga Parks & Recreation Department, Howard Knob Park is open April through October, weather permitting. It is located on the highest knoll overlooking the town of Boone, accessed from Cherry Drive in Boone. Picnic tables, covered and open, trails and overlooks. Open dawn til dusk, free.
